It is our experience that most people misunderstand taxes, and for good reason – the tax code isn’t exactly straightforward, and it seemingly changes with the revolving door of the White House.  With that said, it is important to understand the basics concepts toward determining how much you pay in taxes.  After all, it isn’t how much you make, but how much you keep, that matters.
